Carbon Reduction

Building a sustainable future.

At Glow New Media, we recognise the urgent need to address climate change. We are committed to achieving Net Zero emissions by 2030 for UK operations, aligning with NHS England’s supplier requirements and the PPN 06/21 guidelines.

As a small software company that works remotely by default, we have a unique opportunity to minimise our environmental impact. Here’s how we’re making a difference:

  1. Remote by default: By operating remotely, we significantly reduce the need for daily commutes, thereby cutting down on transportation-related emissions.
  2. Energy Efficiency: We encourage our team to use energy-efficient devices and to power down equipment when not in use. We also promote the use of renewable energy sources where possible.
  3. Digital Solutions: We prioritise digital communication and collaboration tools to reduce the need for physical meetings and travel. This not only enhances productivity but also helps in lowering our carbon footprint.
  4. Sustainable Practices: We are committed to sustainable practices in our daily operations. This includes reducing paper usage, recycling electronic waste, and choosing eco-friendly office supplies.
  5. Continuous Improvement: We regularly review and update our sustainability practices to ensure we are doing our part in the fight against climate change. We also encourage our team members to share ideas and initiatives that can help us further reduce our environmental impact.
  6. Community Engagement: We actively participate in and support community efforts aimed at environmental conservation and sustainability.

By integrating these practices into our business model, we aim to contribute to a sustainable future while continuing to deliver innovative software solutions. Together, we can make a difference.
