Founded over 200 years ago and inspired by the legendary bowler Francis Drake, Drakes Pride is synonymous with British history and the global sport of lawn bowls. In 1982, the company broke new ground by pioneering computer numerically controlled manufacturing, solidifying its reputation as the world's most experienced maker of precision lawn bowls.
The challenge for Glow New Media was to modernise Drakes Pride's website, seamlessly integrating a robust SAGE 200 backend system and making the brand’s diverse product catalogue accessible to a worldwide audience. This included showcasing customisation options for colours, weights, and other manufacturing choices—all while preserving the brand's historical essence.
The new website offers an enhanced, user-friendly experience, combining aesthetic appeal with functionality. Early results are promising: trade orders saw a remarkable increase within the first week of its launch.
