As part of our combined efforts to support our official Charity partner Children's Adventure Farm Trust (CAFT) and in line with Sci-Tech Daresbury’s official support for CAFT, Glow got creative, providing the music!
Phil plays guitar in local rock covers band, The Devoted, who were chuffed to play a set for the annual Prosecco in the Park event which takes place in Linear Park on the Sci Tech Daresbury campus where glow are Headquartered in The Innovation Centre.
The event was blessed with great weather (again!) and record numbers of attendees who enjoyed cakes, and a drink or two in the sun.
The event raised approximately £600 in donations and raffle on the day. Why not Sponsor Phil on the Lands End Jon O Groats Team Cycling Challenge?
They may (or may not!) have enjoyed the live rock music, belting out from beneath the historic Daresbury Laboratory Tower, which originally formed part of Daresbury Nuclear Physics Laboratory - Nuclear Structure Facility, a tandem Van de Graaff accelerator housed in the tower.
The band played hits from Oasis, ZZ top, Blur, Blink182 and Foo Fighters amongst others.
It was a busy week for the band going on to headline Christleton Rocks festival three days later.
